The public is advised to be cautious if you receive a suspicious sweepstakes letter in the mail with a payment check supposedly from the City of
Woodstock, that has alredy been mailed out throughtout cherokee and pickens county.
Please be aware that the City has been targeted by identity theft  violators.
We are working with law enforcement to investigate the situation. Once apprehended, the violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
