18th Annual Cherokee County Indian Festival

The South’s largest and most spectacular Native American educational and entertainment program is being held on Mother's Day weekend. This acclaimed edutainment event will take place in Canton, Georgia at Boling Park just 40 minutes north of Atlanta on the beautiful Etowah River.   

We're sorry we won't have an educational field day this year. Come join us for the weekend!

Included in the weekend event:  

  • Exhibition Pow Wow
  • All Intertribal Dancers will be hosted to a handsome Bar-B-Q feast.
  • All Dancers and Drums welcome (with proper regailia)
  • $Drum Competition
  • $Hoop Dance Competition
  • (NO DANCE CONTEST) Contract dancers and Intertribals
  • Warriors on horseback
  • THUNDER the 2,300 pound full blown bison (buffalo)
  • Aztec Dancers
  • Cherokee Rose and Silena
  • Tewa Buffalo Dancers
  • Kris Kelly (Caddo Story Teller)
  • Primative Skills Demonstrators:
  • Russell Cutts
  • Buck Windsor
  • Richie Taylor
  • Bobby Lee (mule camp)
  • Wildlife exhibit (Educational)
  • Over fifty artist and crafters
